World Listening Day 2016 - "Sounds Lost and Found"
radio aporee participates in the 7th World Listening Day.
World Listening Day 2016's theme, Sounds Lost and Found, calls on reminiscing, listening and observing what changes in our soundscapes have occurred in recent decades - be it language, nature, technology, music or even silence itself.
Read more about the WLD
at the World Listening Project's website
You are invited to participate, please send your audio field recording to radio aporee,
and help creating a soundmap of the World Listening Day 2016 - Sounds Lost and Found, on July 18, 2016:
- you can upload to the radio aporee ::: maps (please tag your recording with WLD 2016 or
similar) or directly to the WLD2016 project page on radio aporee (open for upload on July 18)
- please read the instructions on how to upload to the soundmap
as well as the content guideline. Please send only field recordings, no music, compositions etc.!
- Since this year's theme - Sounds Lost and Found - , is also about what
...changes in our soundscapes have occurred in recent decades...
it could be interesting to check the map in your area for recordings
from previous years, and update that location with a current one. It's quite
easy, just click a red dot on the map and choose add recording in the popup info window,
see also the manual.
Let me know if you encounter problems.
All recordings will be made available on the dedicated project page, additionally, new contributions will be played
on the
web radio on aporee as they arrive, along with compilations
from previos WLDs.
